This little dragon fly flew inside and was trapped in the window for a couple of hours. When I released it it needed some time to recover so I was able to photograph it without it flying off straight away. Superb creatures. This seems suitable as it is the year of the dragon in china.

I had a great crop of raspberries and strawberries this year. Nothing nicer than heading out to the garden and eating the fruit straight off the bushes.
Nothing like a plant that self-seeds and makes such a pretty show. The white version of this plant (I don't know its name) can be a pest because it seeds so readily and pops up in places you don't want it to. Another addition from Mum's garden.
Christmas day was hot but full of thunder storms and showers of rain. In the late afternoon the sky developed an eerie glow as if there was about to be a huge storm but it passed quietly.
The Dragon statue looking into the pond and the a view of the pond before pruning the shrubs and weeping birches which have grown so much in the last year.
Mum's garden has quite a few spots where Cannas show off there colourful foliage and bright flowers.
