This little dragon fly flew inside and was trapped in the window for a couple of hours. When I released it it needed some time to recover so I was able to photograph it without it flying off straight away. Superb creatures. This seems suitable as it is the year of the dragon in china.
Mum's garden has quite a few spots where Cannas show off there colourful foliage and bright flowers.
This is quite an amazing sight. The creeper has nearly reached the top of this dead gum tree and at this time of year is red flowers from top to bottom.
A great garden has a mixture of the old, new, special and common plants. The brilliantly red nasturtiums have a place that brightens up their corner of the garden.
Summercrush - orange
This is a very new plant in Mum's garden. It must have been one her last acquisitions and would undoubtedly be "something very special" It has a lovely citrus smell and the real name is Agastache mexicana.
