87/365 Cobra Head Lily on Super Macro

2/4/2011

We call this the Cobra Head Lily but I don't really know what it's proper name is. It's a tiny flower, only a few centimeters tall, that once in your garden is impossible to get rid of. It spreads from little corms in the roots and if you leave a tiny bit in the ground it will start a new plant. If it wasn't slightly invasive it would be quite charming.

PictureI love spending time in the garden and finding which plant has come to fore with a beautiful display.
