Just outside the backdoor this Hibiscis was making quite a show. It was almost luminous in the evening light. I particularly like the way that from the back it looks like a hand painted flower.
The sunlight reflecting through the dew drops make the silken thread visible in the bare branches of the trees.
We babysat our Grandchildren while their parents went to Walhalla to celebrate a friend's birthday. These are the pics that Chloe took of the gardens and fauna around the little town.
This Lucilia is growing just outside of Mum's kitchen. It has lovely scented flowers a bit like a hydrangea. The Lucilia is very frost sensitive and the one I tried to grow didn't last long.
Autumn is the time that many plants stop growing but as I walk around the garden lots of weird little fungi are beginning to appear. I particularly like the fungi growing on fungi in the center column, bottom two photos.
